well, i started it once, so more of my verse will appear here...

Faces in the Snow

Once upon a deep dark farce in the night
I came along stumbling and tripped in the snow
But I got back up fast got my bearings on straight
Then my eyes spun around and I stepped over right
And there right there, looking at me all fallen knights,
These strange faces in the fallen snow.

It couldna been, I musta not seen, it just was a tree,
But these faces those faces they’re staring at me.
No I was wrong, completely mistaken
Just a product of wrong turns I had taken.

A tree looking funny, covered in white,
a soldier asleep in the dead of the night
I was having fun, playing eyes on my tricks
when the thought came to me seeing is believing and believing is mad.

I ran right on home then stayed out for a year
Running from faces that just might appear
I wasn’t them and nor ever would I be
So I ran and I ran, hoping to see

See more more more
Find a new world
See more more more
Where faces don’t fall
See more more more
Where vision exists
See more more more
And sight set far

Breathing now but needing some gas to go
I went round the globe and I came back the same
Broken pieces were found amidst dust and tears
And my shadow it grew, long, dark and weary

I struggled and weeped, trying to sleep
My vision askew as the darkness creeped
I followed it home, gave myself away
Gave it to them, for the people to share

But still I walk, still I struggle to breath
All that I had shared will never be seen
It was all just a once
Innocent boy’s little dream

Walking once more, deep in the night
Struggling and stumbling in dark city light
The same faces once more upon my way
Appearing slowly and surely, they echoed my fate

My eyes grew bright and soon understood,
But saddened so suddenly to see friends of old
I tripped right and fell down and joined them,
Just another strange face in the fallen snow.
